SUNY Potsdam Swim Camp

for competitive swimmers age 9 to 18

SUNY Potsdam and Northern TRIBS Swimming have partnered to offer an invigorating week of training designed for competitive swimmers age 9 to 18. Camp Director Joshua Jock will be joined by USA-S coaches and other guest coaches to bring direction, skill enhancement, and fun to individuals looking to prepare for the upcoming swim season.

swim campInstruction includes freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly focusing on stroke refinement as well as starts and turns.

The program provides an excellent pre-season training session for all levels of competitive swimmers and a fun-filled week of camp activities with friends new and old.

To round out the traditional camp experience, swimming sessions are coordinated with recreational and social activities. In compliance with NYS Department of Health guidelines, campers are supervised throughout activities by trained camp counselors/instructors.

Equipment

Campers will need a swim suit, cap, goggles, sandals, a towel, shorts, a t-shirt, running shoes, and a spare set of dry clothes everyday. Residential campers must bring their own bed linens. Overnight items, snacks, personal items, and spending money during camp are at parental discretion. SUNY Potsdam will not be responsible for campers’ personal property.

Registration Deadline:  June 22, 2012

To register, please complete a registration form and return it with payment to the address listed on the form. Online registration is available, or you can register over the phone by calling the CLEAR office at (315) 267-2167. A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required to secure a spot in the camp, with payment in full due by June 22, 2012. Please make checks payable to “SUNY Potsdam” in U.S. funds, or you may pay by credit card (MasterCard and Visa accepted).  Additional information will be mailed to campers after registration.  Please note that SUNY Potsdam is no longer able to process international checks.  International participants are asked to register online or via telephone, or to mail money orders payable in U.S. funds.

SAVE $20 per child when registering 4 or more at one time.  Group registrations must be mailed in the same envelope or submitted online.  To register a group online, you must send an e-mail to camps@potsdam.edu with the name of the group and the name of each camper in the group. An online registration form with credit card payment must then be submitted for each camper named in the e-mail within 24 hours of receipt of the e-mail.  Group registrations are not accepted over the phone.  No exceptions will be made to this policy.
