Meet The Staff

The Center for Regional Research and Community Education (CRR&CE) serves North Country residents by engaging in applied research; providing lifelong learning opportunities for non-traditional adult students and personal enrichment classes for adults and youth; and offering numerous public service and outreach events to the local community through a variety of venues.

The Center houses the Office of Non-Credit Programs and Summer Camps, the Office of Conferences and Event Planning, the statewide Migrant Identification and Recruitment Program (Migrant I&R), a regional Migrant Education Outreach Program (MEOP), the Potsdam Institute for Applied Research (PIAR), the Stimulating Opportunities after Retirement (SOAR) Office, and various grant funded programs and activities.

Conference and Event Planning

Coordinates and organizes major events hosted on campus to include conferences, workshops, seminars and meetings.

Non-credit Courses

Personal enrichment, recreational, and professional workforce development opportunities are available to community residents.

Summer Camps

A variety of residential and non-residential youth summer camps are coordinated through the Office of Non-credit Programs.

Stimulating Opportunities after Retirement (SOAR)

Offers peer learning opportunities for area residents of retirement age in a wide variety of topics, such as computers, contract bridge, science, religion, and the arts.

Walker Fellowship Program

Enables faculty in the area’s 11 colleges to work closely with individuals from local organizations and businesses to jointly research critical problems confronting the North Country.
