Email Forwarding Policy

Faculty & Staff

The College has specific policies concerning the use of your Potsdam email address. The policies are in place to assure the proper delivery of important College communications.

Current Faculty & Staff are expected to use their Potsdam email address for College business. The email from this address will not be forwarded to another ISP.

Current Faculty & Staff in a Shared Services Role may have their email forwarded to a single host campus account with supervisor approval.

Faculty & Staff with a Student Account cannot have one account forwarded into the other.

Faculty & Staff Leaving College Service in Good Standing may have their email forwarded to another account for a period up to 3 months by request. To make such a request, contact the CTS Helpdesk by emailing helpdesk@potsdam.edu at least 5 business days prior to your last official day of service.

Faculty & Staff Emeriti may request to keep their Potsdam email accounts and continue to use them. An emeriti is defined as someone who is UUP or MC and is retiring.

Students/Alumni

Current Students are expected to use Potsdam's email account for college related communications. No email forwarding is available.

Inactive Students cannot have email forwarded.
