These instructions assume you are familiar with installing software and the usage of Windows.
Open the fsecure.exe installer on CD-ROM disc provided, or the exe you downloaded from http://www2.potsdam.edu/cts/software/fsecure.exe
Select English and click Next.
Accept the license agreement and click Next.
Enter the license code that was emailed to you.
Select a Custom install and click Next.
At this point in the install, if you have any other antivirus or spyware software installed, F-Secure will want to uninstall it for you to prevent conflicts. Click Next.
Note: If it fails to uninstall an item, you'll have to do it manually through Windows via Add/Remove Software in the Control Panels and then restart the F-Secure Installer.
At the Select how this host will be managed screen, choose Locally managed stand-alone installation. Click Next.
The installation is ready to start. Double check that only the following are listed to be installed:Virus & Spy Protection. Click Start to install.
When the installation is complete, click Next.
Select Restart new (recommended) and click Finish.
NOTE: CTS Staff typically configure/preconfigure this software on College owned computers. These instructions are provided for non-College owned computers (examples are: some grant funded, tenant, or special case computers) on the campus network and/or CTS Staff to reference. They assume you are familiar with installing software and the usage of Windows.
Open the fsecure.exe installer on \\CTSTools\Tools\F-Secure, or the exe you downloaded from http://www2.potsdam.edu/cts/software/fsecure.exe
Select English and click Next.
Accept the license agreement and click Next.
Enter the license code provided on CTSSerials, or the one emailed to you.
Select a Custom install and click Next.
At this point in the install, if you have any other antivirus or spyware software installed, F-Secure will want to uninstall it for you to prevent conflicts. Click Next.

If you are upgrading from a previous version of F-Secure the installer will offer to keep your current central management settings. Click Next and go to step 12.
Select Central management with F-Secure Policy Manager and click Next.
For the Central management public key path enter \\zeus\certs\admin.pub and click Next.
Next you are asked for the F-Secure Policy Manager server address. Enter http://antivirus.potsdam.edu and click Next.
The installation is ready to start. Double check that only the following are listed to be installed:
Virus & Spy ProtectionWhen the installation is complete, click Next.
Select Restart new (recommended) and click Finish.
