Employee Campus Computer Accounts
Employee CCAs are created automatically for all new hires but only after Human Resources, the Research Foundation, or the PACES Business Office has received a signed employment contract. Tenants and contractors of the college can request a CCA if telephone services and/or internet access are needed (both are subject to monthly charges). All new CCAs have a credential letter produced displaying username, temporary password, and instructions on how to establish a permanent password. An automatic email notification is sent to the corresponding department (or tenant) secretary when the letter is ready for pickup at the CTS Helpdesk located in Stillman Hall 113 during normal business hours.
Given the nature of integration between the campus information systems, a CCA will need to be created prior to PACES issuing new employees a campus ID (SUNY) card, TelCom assigning telephone or voice mail services, campus internet access, and Physical Plant processing key and card access requests.
It is imperative that departments share this information with all new hires and encourage them to turn in all paperwork in a timely fashion to avoid service gaps. This is a necessary step in safeguarding the college's information assets.
Student Campus Computer Accounts
Student CCAs are created automatically for all new students but only after the student has been accepted and committed to the acceptance offer. New students will be mailed their campus computer account letter in 3-5 business days. New Freshman and Transfer Students for the fall semester will begin receiving their letters weekly beginning March 5th.
