Large format poster Color Poster up to 42"wide at 1200 dpi.

Requests should be made at least two-days prior to date needed. ITC attempts to honor same day requests.  However, the poster file must be submitted by 12:00 p.m.  We will do our best but we cannot guarantee same day service. Some posters take longer to print and turnaround time depends on graphics used and background colors.  For best possible service, we offer the following guidelines and helpful hints:

  • PowerPoint or PDF format preferred.
  • The size you would like the poster to be, before creating the poster.
  • Maximum size is 42 inches wide and 56 inches in length.  In PDF format length can be extended beyond 56 inches.
  • You can bring posters to the ITC on a CD, on a flash drive, or send the poster as an email attachment to itc@potsdam.edu

Poster Printing Guidelines

  • Academic Department Professional Development Poster Printing – The ITC prints posters for presentations.
  • Academic Department Directory Posters – ITC will print one academic departmental directory poster each year. If there are staffing changes we will reprint a second copy. A maximum of two directory posters will be provided per year.
  • All other requests will be referred to Central Printing Services.
  • Due to the cost of cartridges the ITC does not print posters for displaying in departmental areas.
  • Please proof posters carefully before asking to have them printed. The ITC does not print a second poster due to errors.

NOTE: Poster printing on standard paper typically takes 30 minutes. Glossy paper printing typically takes 60 minutes. ITC provides standard, heavy-coated paper and ink. Faculty can purchase glossy paper directly from OfficeMax for approximately $95 per 100 foot roll.

Student Mentors

The T4P2 program will no longer be funded and thus has been discontinued. The ITC has hired current T4P2 students for the 2009/10 academic year. During the fall and spring semesters, these students will continue to help faculty with basic applications. The list of applications may vary each semester depending on the student knowledge base. The ITC will post on their web site, student's availability and their application expertise at the beginning of each semester.
