You are here
We are excited to learn that you will be joining the Graduate community at Potsdam. Now that you have been admitted to SUNY Potsdam, we want to be sure to provide you with as much information as possible about what the next steps are for you, and what we can do to support your pursuit of a graduate degree. Our commitment to you can be viewed through the lenses of "4 O's." The first of these, is what we call "onboarding." The information and downloads below are designed to provide you with information to ensure the start of your degree is as smooth as possible. We will be scheduling information sessions in the very near future as well. In addition to documents, we will also be hosting live webinars to talk about the start of your graduate degree!
What is onboarding?
Onboarding is a term that refers to the wealth of important information we need to share with you to support your transition into graduate education. This information is comprised of important program information, academic procedures related to registration, information about Potsdam, services available to you, and more!
Below is the link to download the digital version of the graduate student onboarding guidebook. As an accompaniment to the guidebook, be sure to review the checklist that provides you with detailed items that must be completed prior to the start of classes, as well as optional things we encourage you to do as you transition into graduate study. As always, contact the Center for Graduate Studies by phone at 315-267-2165 (1-800-458-1142) or by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org for additional support.
