Date/Time: Thursday, May 17th at 12:00-1:15pm.
Location: CCI (Lougheed Learning Commons -106).

Jupyter Notebooks: Write, Compute, Share
Presenter: Jason Howland
Jupyter is an integrated environment for writing and interactive computing. Jupyter is ideal for online technical writing. One Jupyter notebook can combine LaTeX mathematics, Maple-like symbolic computation, plotting and visualization, data management, computer programming in Python or R, and shell commands. Jupyter is built with free open source code and works in a browser, so it works without installation on many platforms, even phones. Jupyter notebooks can be kept private or shared with a URL, and are hosted for free by Microsoft and others.  Jason started using Jupyter in late 2016.He now uses it for writing and sharing lecture notes, for classroom presentations in Statistics, for homework in Statistics and Linear Algebra, for personal work in machine learning, and for my enrollment analysis project called Census.
Join Jason for a relaxed introduction to Jupyter!
