The research proposal “Media Framing of Occupy Wall Street” submitted by Dr. Robert Hinckley and Phillip Howard, Department of Politics has been reviewed by the Institutional Review Board. It has been determined that the use of human subjects in that research meets the criteria of exempt research on March 12, 2014. This exemption is applicable for a period of one year.

The research proposal “How Can Teachers Use Handheld Devices in their Classroom Instruction” submitted by Dr. Kathleen Valentine and Jeannie Tarbell, Department of Curriculum and Instruction has been reviewed by the Institutional Review Board. It has been determined that the use of human subjects in that research meets the criteria of exempt research on March 10, 2014. This exemption is applicable for a period of one year.

The research proposal “Guided Imagery and Journaling Techniques” submitted by Dr. Heather Beauchamp and Karleen Hayes, Department of Psychology has been reviewed by the Institutional Review Board and by the Provost of the college. The researcher and the use of human subjects in that research have been approved as of March 6, 2014.

The research proposal “ADHD in the Classroom” submitted by Dr. Kathleen Valentine and Kelsey Rimmer, Department of Curriculum and Instruction has been reviewed by the Institutional Review Board. It has been determined that the use of human subjects in that research meets the criteria of exempt research on March 17, 2014. This exemption is applicable for a period of one year.

The research proposal “Generational Attendance and Perceived Stress Levels” submitted by Dr. Richard Williams and Ben Steinberg, Department of Psychology has been reviewed by the Institutional Review Board and by the Provost of the college. The researcher and the use of human subjects in that research have been approved as of March 18, 2014.
