Stephanie Coyne DeGhett just received word that her article, ?Paintings in Fiction: Ten Lessons from the Masters of Ekphrasis,? will be in the May issue of the Writer?s Chronicle.

Christina Knopf presented at the Eastern Sociological Society conference in Baltimore MD, in February.

Rebecca Lehmann presented at the Association of Writers and Writing Programs annual conference in Seattle, WA, on the panel ?What?s a Creative Writing PhD Worth??.

Derek Maus will be traveling to St. Petersburg, Russia from April 18 to April 27, 2014 as one of the two recipients of the system-wide competitive SUNY Russia Programs Spring Travel Awards for the Humanities and Social Sciences. While there, he will offer a series of lectures and proseminars at St. Petersburg State University that touch upon a diverse assortment of subjects within the inherently interdisciplinary topic of satire.

Alan Steinberg?s monologue, "Psalm 90," which was performed last month at the New York Public Library at Lincoln Center as part of the Piney Fork Theatre Festival, has won the Best Monologue of the Festival award.

Lisa Wilson will be co-presenting, ?Organizing a Test Bed for the Digital Mitford: The Mary Russell Mitford Archive,? with Elisa Beshero-Bondar (University of Pittsburg-Greensburg) at the North American Society for the Study of Romanticism (NASSR) in Washington, D.C. in August on a panel on new approaches to scholarly editing.
