The State University of New York at Potsdam invites nominations and applications for the position of Vice President for Business Affairs and Administration. This position will be appointed by and report directly to SUNY Potsdam's recently announced president, Dr. Kristin Esterberg.

The Vice President serves as the Chief Financial Officer, oversees an all-funds budget of $85 million, coordinates facilities management and capital planning, serves on the President's Council, and in collaboration with the President develops and helps articulate the College's vision for fiscal policies and facilities management. Some of the key functions reporting to the Vice President include Budget Operations and Planning, Facilities Operations and Planning, Human Resources, Student Accounts, Procurement, Environmental Health and Safety, and PACES, the campus' auxiliary operation.

The successful candidate must have an earned degree in an appropriate discipline such as accounting, finance, or business or a closely related discipline or CPA certification (advanced degree preferred). Significant progressively responsible administration and financial management experience, preferably including higher education experience, is required.

SUNY Potsdam, the oldest higher education institution in the State of New York, has long been recognized as one of the leading public comprehensive colleges in the United States. The College, which offers 55 baccalaureate and 18 Master's degrees to 4,200 students, is distinguished not only by its commitment to teacher education and the liberal arts, but also by its unique cultural and recreational environment just north of the beautiful Adirondack Park and within close proximity to Ottawa and Montreal, Canada. With the internationally recognized Crane School of Music and the completion of a new $55 million Performing Arts Center, the campus serves as a cultural center for the region.
