The Business Manager for the Potsdam College Foundation, Inc. serves as the Chief Financial Officer for the Foundation and has primary management and oversight responsibility for all aspects of the Foundation's accounting, financial reporting, budget planning and monitoring, investment and endowment fund management. 

Although attached to the Foundation, this is a state position through SUNY Potsdam. The Business Manager reports to the Vice President of College Advancement/Executive Director of the Foundation, and is the liaison to the Audit and Investment/Finance Committees of the Foundation's Board of Trustees. This person must be team-oriented and personable, a strong strategist, and able to effectively manage multiple competing priorities. 

A Bachelor's degree and at least five years successful experience in complex finance and/or accounting management is required; a Master's Degree (MBA or Accounting) with professional certification (CPA) is preferred. He/she must have a knowledge of IRS, State of NY, and other organization rules and regulations regarding charitable giving; experience in a non-profit and/or higher education environment is desirable.
