The Student Success Center is accepting on-line applications for an Academic Advisor/EOP Counselor. The successful candidate will provide advising and counseling support to collegiate students from disadvantaged backgrounds. EOP Counselors support students toward the pursuit and attainment of their college degrees.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: assisting students in academic planning related to the students' abilities and interests; conveying and interpreting the University's rules and regulations, academic prerequisites, programs, majors and courses of study; working directly with faculty in various schools or departments to enhance the advisement process; referring students to related offices (psychological counseling, career planning, etc.) as appropriate; assisting with EOP orientation and special programs.

The successful candidate should be a team player with strong interpersonal skills. Master's degree required. Master's Degree in Counseling or a related field preferred.
