SUNY Potsdam’s Department of Geology welcomes stargazers of all ages to attend free planetarium shows at the College’s planetarium this semester.
Presented by Professor Emeritus Dr. Frank Revetta, all shows will be offered on Thursdays at 4 p.m.
The schedule for the Spring 2013 semester is as follows:
• Feb. 14: “Fall Constellations”
• Feb. 28: “Winter Constellations”
• March 14: “Brightest Stars”
• April 4: “Constellations World Wide”
• April 18: “How Astronomers Locate Stars and Planets”
• May 2: “Constellations of the Zodiac”
Each planetarium show lasts about 45 minutes. The planetarium is located in the basement of Stowell Hall. Guests of all ages are welcome to attend.
