"The Met: Live in HD" series features Placido Domingo in "Simon Boccanegra"

The Metropolitan Opera’s “The Met: Live in HD” series will continue at the Potsdam Roxy Theater with the presentation of “Simon Boccanegra,” featuring Met career, tenor Plácido Domingo making history singing the title role in Verdi’s gripping political thriller, written for a baritone.  The live broadcast will take place Saturday, Feb. 6 at 1 p.m., with an encore showing on Sunday, Mar. 21, at 1 p.m.

Adrianne Pieczonka, Marcello Giordani, and James Morris are Domingo’s co-stars in the moving and tragic story of a father and his lost daughter. James Levine conducts.

Once again audiences can have the full experience through Potsdam's First Crush Bistro with an exclusive, one-of-a-kind meal for opera-goers that morning. First Crush doors open at 11 a.m. Restaurant walk-ins will be accepted, but it is best to make reservations with the CPS Box Office by the Friday before to ensure that you have a seat.
