The SUNY Potsdam Presidential Search Committee has identified five excellent candidates to invite to campus for interviews over the next three weeks. There will be two open forums for each candidate. The community is invited to attend the afternoon open forums, along with faculty, staff and students.

The community open forums will be held as follows:

·Candidate 1:Wednesday, Feb. 19, from 1:15 to 2:15 p.m., in the Barrington Student Union Fireside Lounge

·Candidate 2:Thursday, Feb. 20, from 2:45 to 3:45 p.m., in the Dunn Dance Theater

·Candidate 3:Monday, Feb. 24, from 2:45 to 3:45 p.m., in the Dunn Dance Theater

·Candidate 4:Thursday, Feb. 27, from 2:45 to 3:45 p.m., in the Dunn Dance Theater

·Candidate 5:Monday, March 3, from 2:45 to 3:45 p.m., in the Dunn Dance Theater

Information about each candidate will be shared with campus and local media via email, and posted to the SUNY Potsdam website, 48 hours prior to their arrival in Potsdam. The messages will be sent two days before the candidates' visits, even if the date falls on a weekend.

Feedback from the campus community will be important to the process. There will be an online survey for all who attend forums with the candidates, so that faculty, staff, students, alumni and community members can share their impressions.

Following the campus visits, the Presidential Search Committee will make recommendations to the SUNY Potsdam College Council, which will send three names to the Chancellor for review. SUNY Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher will make the final recommendation to the SUNY Board of Trustees, which is the appointing authority.
