SUNY Potsdam Offers Be the Match Marrow Registry Drive
SUNY Potsdam will host an upcoming marrow donor registry drive for the Be The Match Foundation, on Friday, April 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Barrington Student Union Fireside Lounge. All are welcome to attend and join the registry.
Sponsored by the Bears women’s soccer team and the Pre-Health Club, the registry is open to donors between the ages of 18 and 44.
Thousands of patients with blood cancers like leukemia and lymphoma, sickle cell and other life-threatening diseases need a bone marrow transplant. To join the registry, guests will be asked to fill out the information in the registration kit and provide a swab of cheek cells.
If you can’t make it in person, join through the online drive, at www.bethematchfoundation.org/goto/sunypotsdam.
