Are the stresses of adult life getting to you? Have you ever wished for a time machine to take you back to the days when you had never heard of cell phones, trans fats or subprime mortgages? Relive your glory days this summer with Gym Class Heroes, a new venture offered by SUNY Potsdam’s Center for Lifelong Education and Recreation. This four-week program is a chance for adults to have some outdoor fun through old school recreational activities on Sunday afternoons from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., July 12 through August 2. Adam Britton, physical education teacher and soccer and basketball coach at Brushton-Moira Central School, will assist with game selection and provide equipment for some of your gym class favorites. Activities include kickball, relay races, wiffle ball and other P.E. and Recess favorites that allow participants to experience non-league recreational fun in the sun that will make you feel like a kid again. The Gym Class Heroes registration fee for the four-week course is $29, and pre-registration is required. Individuals only interested in attending two sessions may register for $15 and come when they like. For more information or to register, call the Center for Lifelong Education and Recreation at (315) 267-2167 or visit www.potsdam.edu/community/clear.
