SUNY Potsdam Head Softball Coach Shannon Dillabough will head up the inaugural Softball Day Camp from Monday, July 6 through Friday, July 10 at the SUNY Potsdam Softball Field. Softball players from across the North Country will join the Potsdam Bears coaching staff and players in this exciting day camp for girls entering grades seven through eleven this fall. The camp runs from 9 a.m. until noon each day. The first part of the day will focus on building specific softball skills such as hitting, fielding and pitching through small group and individual instruction. During the second half of the session, campers will break into teams to play games. Most importantly, the camp will provide a fun environment to improve campers’ softball skills and a chance for them to meet other players from around the North Country. The camp registration fee is $95 and includes a camp T-shirt. For more information or to register, call SUNY Potsdam’s Center for Lifelong Education and Recreation (CLEAR) at (315) 267-2167 or visit www.potsdam.edu/community/camps/. Registration also remains open for Potsdam’s full slate of summer day camps and non-credit courses, and the complete schedule is available online.
