Northern TRIBS Swimming and SUNY Potsdam are partnering to bring a Swimming Boot Camp to area competitors this August.
The invigorating training camp is designed for competitive swimmers looking to prepare for the upcoming season. Campers will spend each day focusing on stroke instruction and refinement.
The camp features two different weeks from which to choose: August 3 through August 7 or August 10 through August 14. Daily sessions run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Each week will conclude with a Relay Carnival that family and friends are invited to attend.
SUNY Potsdam Assistant Swim Coach Joshua Jock will direct the camp. He will be joined by Northern TRIBS coaches to bring personal and detailed attention to each participant through small group instruction.
The Northern TRIBS Swimming Club is a member of the Eastern Zone of USA Swimming in the Adirondack LSC and is dedicated to enhancing technique and race ability for motivated swimmers in the communities surrounding the tributaries of the St. Lawrence River in Northern New York. Their mission is to provide opportunities for swimmers to achieve their highest potential in the North Country.
The camp fee, which includes a camp T-shirt and a DVD featuring the campers very own stroke recordings, is $225 for one week or $425 for both weeks.
