The SUNY Potsdam Alumni Board of Trustees recently awarded Lawrence “Larry” LeaShomb of Norwood Honorary Lifetime Membership during the College’s Annual Reunion Weekend.
Honorary Lifetime Membership recognizes the exceptional contributions of non-alumni to the SUNY Potsdam Alumni Association and the College. The Alumni Association acknowledged LeaShomb for his tireless dedication to SUNY Potsdam.
LeaShomb has served as a member of SUNY Potsdam’s Physical Plant for 30 years and is a critical component of their operations, where he now serves as an engineer and supervisor.
For any campus event that takes place, LeaShomb is somewhere behind the scenes playing a role in the preparation, and Reunion Weekend each July is no exception.
“His positive attitude and ever-present smile contribute to the morale of not only his colleagues, but also for students, parents and other campus visitors. His concern and pride for the physical wellbeing of the campus have been served by his knowledge and expertise. His dedication to the campus and the community extends far beyond the confines of the work day,” read the citation that was presented to LeaShomb.
