Edmund J. Hansen, author of the popular text Idea-Based Learning: A Course Design Process to Promote Conceptual Understanding, is Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning at Northeastern Illinois University and served as President of the Chicago Area Faculty Development Network. This workshop describes a comprehensive “Course Design” model that illustrates how courses and curriculum are effectively aligned to enhance teaching effectiveness. Faculty interested in attending the session should request a complimentary copy of Idea-Based Learning in advance from the Title III Project Director.
