could contribute to a better future? Where can you go to learn more about the antiracist
movement?

Join Dr. Youngblood and Dr. Mitchell for a presentation and discussion on some of these
issues: New racism: interpersonal interactions, microaggressions, stereotype threat;
Old & persistent racism: economic inequality, profiling, attitudes, behaviors; Antiracism
Activism today; how to be a white ally; introduction of web resources, organizations, and
bibliography; Concerns in Potsdam and in your specific professional fields. Students from
Dr. Youngblood’s Interracial Communication course will give short presentations and
participate in the discussion.
