The Office of Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) at SUNY Potsdam is accepting on-line applications for a full-time Sustainability, Energy & Environmental Coordinator to report to the EH&S Officer and will support the sustainability, energy and environmental efforts of the College.
Responsibilities will include: development and execution of a comprehensive sustainability plan, energy and gas purchases for campus cogeneration facility, state executive orders E04 and E018 reporting and energy cap reporting, air permits, recycling management, meet project green requirements, hazardous waste disposal and tracking, spill prevention & countermeasure compliance, energy rebate submissions, energy grant requests, asbestos management, tracking and maintaining legionella results and associated documentation, and maintenance of environmental permits, licenses, agreements, pesticide licenses and reporting.
Bachelor’s degree in appropriate discipline and three years’ experience in sustainability, energy and environmental duties are required as is the need to secure a radiation license. We are, especially, seeking candidates who have engaged in professional development activities to enhance knowledge of diversity, equity and inclusion and have worked collaboratively across various departments in fostering success of underrepresented groups and a supportive and inclusive environment for all.
