Community Health Department Vacancy


The Community Health Department invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor beginning fall of 2015. 

Responsibilities: Teaching graduate and undergraduate level community health courses, including but not limited to: epidemiology, biostatistics, social/behavioral determinants of health, health disparities, program planning, program evaluation, environmental/ occupational health, research methods, and health policy/administration, and a variety of health content courses. Duties also include graduate and undergraduate student advising, research/creative activities, and University/public service. The faculty member would also likely teach in the Bachelor of Science in Community Health program. 

Required qualifications: Candidates must have an earned doctorate in Public Health or a closely related field, ABD considered. Preference given to candidates with education or experience in the area of rural health. Candidates must demonstrate potential for excellence in teaching and commitment to students.
