When/How to Register

Course Registration

In general, registration days/times are based on the student's number of earned/completed hours and does not include courses in progress. However, the college will grant priority registration status to students who meet specific criteria (outlined below).

Students who would otherwise not achieve their academic goals within a reasonable period of time due to a documented disability, as approved by the Office of Accommodative Services, shall be granted priority registration ahead of all other students.

Students who exemplify academic excellence as Presidential Scholars shall also be granted priority registration ahead of all other students.

Students who have extraordinary scheduling restrictions as the result of college mandated participation in events arranged by a college official shall be granted priority registration ahead of other students in their cohort (graduate student, senior, junior, sophomore, or freshman). Students who qualify may include: honors students, student athletes (for an upcoming competitive season), and ROTC cadets.

Any college-recognized group not already granted priority registration, but which meets the above criteria, may consult their faculty advisor to petition, in writing, for priority registration status through the Office of the Provost. The decision to grant priority registration to any college-recognized group shall be made by the Provost or designee.
