Students who are U.S. Citizens:

Student Accident and Health Insurance is an optional policy offered to U.S. students.  SUNY Potsdam students are automatically billed the policy charge for Accident and Health Insurance in the fall and spring semester.  Students are required to waive the Student Accident and Health Insurance at the beginning of each semester they attend.

SUNY Potsdam does not require verification of insurance for waiver of the Student Accident and Health Insurance. To decline the Accident and Health Insurance and/or Alumni Fee, the student must log into BearPAWS:

• Select Student Services and Financial Aid
• Select Student Records
• Select Billing Statement
• Choose the relevant term
• Click on Submit button
• Click on the “No” check box to decline these fees
  

Please note: failure to remove these fees through BearPAWS within 30 days from the first day of classes will cause you to be financially liable for these fees.
