Bear Express
A Bear Express account is a declining on campus debit account. Money may be added by cash, check, or credit, and students can use their SUNYCard as they would a debit card on campus and at many off campus locations as well. It is a convenient way to enjoy purchasing power without cash in all PACES operations. In the fall semester, a $500 balance is assigned to every student account. The account is optional and may be cancelled or the amount changed on-line via BearPAWS or by adjusting the student billing statement. The same Bear Express Amount that was applied for the Fall will automatically be applied and billed for the Spring Semester. You may check your balance and make changes to Bear Express on BearPaws.

Bear Express is not related to your meal plan, although you may use it in any of the restaurants on campus to purchase food items. Since it is subject to NYS sales tax, any unused balances will rollover from fall to spring semester. Rollover from the fall semester is also available during winterim. Bear Express balances $20 or over will be credited to your student account. If your student account does not have any outstanding balances, a refund will result at the end of the academic year.
