The SUNY Potsdam Alumni Association recently honored Katherine Beck ’12 of Chicago with the 2022 Rising Star Award during Reunion 2022. The Rising Star Award is presented to alumni who have demonstrated outstanding professional achievement in the first decade following graduation.

SUNY Potsdam Welcomes Guest Speaker for Diversity in STEM Discussion
SUNY Potsdam will welcome a guest speaker for the College’s upcoming Diversity in STEM Talk Series, sponsored by Arconic. This event is free, and the public is welcome to attend. Dr. Jeanette Davis, a marine microbiologist better known as “Dr. Ocean,” will present her talk, “Science is Everywhere, Science is for Everyone: The Art of Storytelling,” on Wednesday, May 3 at 6 p.m., in Kellas Hall Room 106. A reception will be held prior to the talk at 5 p.m., in Timerman Hall Commons.
