We hope your on-campus living experience proves to be a smooth ride throughout your academic career. To help you with any bumps along the way, we’ve offered you a quick reference guide filled with important information you’ll need as a SUNY Potsdam resident.

For the Fall 2009 semester, the halls open at 10:00 am on Friday, August 28th for new students and on Saturday, August 29th at 10:00 am for returning students.  All students should go directly to the building in which you were assigned or selected to live.

Residency Requirement

SUNY Potsdam has a residency requirement for new students.  Those that enter as a new first year student are asked to live on campus for the first 2 years or 4 semesters.  Those students who enter as new transfer students are asked to live on campus for 1 year or 2 semesters.  More information about this is listed under "Housing Policies."
