Fall 2012 Opening Information

For the Fall 2012 semester, the halls open at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 24th for NEW students.  New residential students should report to their assigned residence hall to check in get their keys.  RETURNING students may return to campus starting at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 25th.  Room assignments for new students will be visible on your Bear Paws account starting on August 1st, 2012.

Residency Requirement

SUNY Potsdam has a residency requirement for new students.  Those that enter as new first year students are asked to live on campus for the first 2 years or 4 semesters.  More information about this is listed under "Housing Policies."

Returning Student Housing Process

Returning students who want housing should click on the link below and follow the instructions.  Bear Paws will be activated 2/17/12 to start the process after a $50.00 deposit is paid to the Student Accounts Office.

Housing License

When students request on campus housing, you are asked to agree to our housing license.  This license is for the entire academic year.  To view a copy of the housing license, click here.
