Alpha Delta Kappa (Alpha)

Mission Statement
As members of Alpha Delta Kappa, we pride ourselves on being individuals. It is through our diverse personalities and interests that we are able to strengthen our bonds of sisterhood. Our purpose is to promote academic achievement, interpersonal development, leadership and organizational skills. Our special bond of sisterhood provides a unique connection which begins in college and lasts a lifetime.

Colors- lavender and white

Number of members - 21

Symbol- The Owl, which signifies wisdom: In our crest, the open book represents intellectual improvement and scholarship. The torch represents truth and loyalty to the school, sorority and each individual member of the sorority.

Philanthropy  – St. Lawrence County Renewal House

Alpha Delta Kappa’s Goals:

  • Continue to recruit new members into our sisterhood who exhibit individuality, strength and loyalty
  • Continue to strengthen our relationship and involvement among other Greek organizations, the colleges and the community
  • Continue our devotion to our philanthropy and other fundraising activities

 Recent Activities:

  •  Relay For Life
  • Sigma Chi’s Derby Days to benefit Children's Miracle Network
  • Make a Difference Week - Melissa's Closet Project
  • Hobble Gobble Prediction Run to benefit Potsdam’s Holiday Fund
  • Fashion Show fundraiser at La Casbah with the Carolee Shop to benefit the Red Cross
  • Greek Week and other social functions.
