In this learning community we will study the basics of the evolution of life and will also focus on how people communicate efficiently through writing. This cluster is for First Year Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) students only.

The First Year Success Seminar for EOP students is a one-credit course designed as a semester long continuation of the extended EOP Pre-Freshman Orientation.   FYSS provides students with an opportunity to become integrated into the life of the campus by exploring the academic standards of the college, learning to manage their academic progress, and most importantly, making further connections with the college, its faculty, staff, and students.  The course is designed to accelerate student transition to the college through exploration of issues and concerns common to first year college students.
