Past Activities

Activities done past semesters:

  • Faculty/Staff Appreciation Awards Ceremony (ALA is one of the only groups on campus to do this)
  • Potluck, mixers, and pizza parties each semester
  • Volunteer activities
  • Fundraisers (Bake Sales, Home Parties held in the lounge, …) to benefit Walter Reed Memorial Hospital and other Charities, such as:
    • Making Fleece Blankets
    • Sending Cards
    • Goody Baskets


The ALA has been instrumental in:

  • Improving Parking
  • Having the Lounge re-carpeted and painted
  • Installing a local phone in the lounge
  • Requesting 2 computers for the lounge
  • Getting stoles with ALA Identification for Graduation
  • Becoming Budgeted with SGA: Funding for mixers, awards ceremonies, projects
