Most College Writing Center clients seek appointments with us because of encouragement from a teacher. Please direct your students to http://www.potsdam.edu/support/cwc to find our website, including hours and online resources.  If you would like copies of our brochures, or if you have any questions about the writing center, please contact us at cwc@potsdam.edu.

To refer a student to the College Writing Center, please send an e-mail to cwc@potsdam.edu stating the student's name and your concerns about their performance in writing. If you would like to mention the deadline for your next writing assignment, that could be helpful.

Tell the student to e-mail cwc@potsdam.edu as well, stating that you have encouraged them to visit us and listing their preferred hours for meeting. They should request an appointment at least three days in advance. The student can review our philosophy and available hours on our website.

The CWC Director will prepare the designated tutor for that session.  Later, at your request, we can confirm that the appointment was completed.
