The Exploring Business and Economics FIG courses are suitable for first year students pursuing a career in business or economics.  Students explore majors in Business Economics, Economics, and Business Administration.  Theses courses satisfy two General Education requirements and thus, are also appropriate for students who are undecided.  Both male and female students are encouraged to sign up for this residential FIG.

This course examines theory of prices, efficient allocation of resources, distribution of income, and practices of business, labor organizations, and government. Satisfies General Education SA requirement.

Personal Finance is an overview of personal and family financial planning with an emphasis on financial record-keeping, planning your spending, tax planning, consumer credit, making buying decisions, purchasing insurance, selecting investments, and retirement and estate planning.

A one-credit course meeting once a week and offering an excellent introduction to the College’s resources and how to succeed in the difficult transition from high school to college life and work. Integrated with the FIG’s theme.
