A full semester’s package of courses for students interested in the out-of-doors, in getting to know the area, or looking into the environmental studies minor or major. Features great field trips most Fridays in the Adirondacks, including one weekend overnight trip. Lab fee of $25 to defray travel and entrance fees. Attention athletes: late afternoon classes, Friday field trips, and a weekend excursion may cut into team schedule. One credit from a PE class may be added to the total of FIG credits.

Introduces both art majors and non-art majors to the concepts and processes of the medium of drawing. Theoretical, critical and historical issues of art making addressed through regular group critiques and slide presentations of both historical and contemporary art work. This class will teach perceptual drawing with still life and figure work with an emphasis on landscape and drawing from nature. $50.00 Studio lab fee assessed by Student Accounts. Satisfies General Education AE requirement.
