Whitney Hargett

Whitney is an undeclared sophomore at SUNY Potsdam. When she first arrived her freshman year, she wanted to be an English teacher but she changed her mind because she was exposed to all the different and exciting classes that Potsdam has to offer. She was unaware of the many choices. She's still undeclared, but is thinking about becoming a high school counselor. Whitney encourages you not to feel bad or nervous about selecting your major, because you are not alone; the two of you can discover your future professions together.

Latesha Fussell

Latesha is a sophomore Mathematics and Sociology major with a minor Human Services. She is a Resident Assistant, a member of Black Student Alliance and EOP Advisory Board. She has had the same questions and frustrations about exploring/ investigating majors as you may have. She has completed the sometimes long and confusing process of declaring a major and minor, and can help you do the same.

Taina Johnson

Taina is a senior Sociology and Communications major. She is also a Student Ambassador for the Admissions Office. She has been through the entire process of exploring and declaring a major, deciding to add a second major, and finding ways to boost her resume via community service and internships.
