CMS Login

There are two ways you can login to the CMS:

General CMS login

  1. Go to cms.potsdam.edu/login.cfm

    The following box will appear:

  2. Enter your User ID and Password, which are the same as your Campus Computer Account. Do not check the "Open My CommonSpot"  box.

  3. Click on the word 'Login' (next to the closed lock icon) or click 'Enter/Return' on your keyboard after you have typed your password.  You will then be taken to cms.potsdam.edu.

  4. Go to your department website, for which you are assigned as the liaison.  Once you are on your department website, you will see the following pencil icon in the upper right hand corner of your screen:

      If you don't see this icon, it is an indication that you are on a website for which you are not the assigned liaison and therefore have not been approved to make changes.  If you do not see the pencil icon above and believe you are an approved liaison, please contact the Office of Public Affairs.

Department Specific CMS Login

You can also go to your specific department website first in the CMS.  For example, if you are an approved liaison for the Student Health Center, you would follow the steps outlined below.

  1. Go to http://cms.potsdam.edu/studentlife/healthservices/login.cfm

    The following box will appear:

    2.    
  2. Enter your User ID and Password, which are the same as your Campus Computer Account. Do not check the "Open My CommonSpot"  box.

  3. Click on the word 'Login' (next to the closed lock icon) or click 'Enter/Return' on your keyboard after you have typed your password.  You will then be taken to the Student Health Service homepage.  You will notice that the following pencil icon will appear at the top right of the CMS screen:

          If you don't see this pencil icon, it is an indication that you are on a website for which you are not the assigned liaison and therefore have not been approved to make changes.  If you do not see the pencil icon above and believe you are an approved liaison, please contact the Office of Public Affairs.
