The Writers' Block offers free assistance to any writer on any assignment. We serve more than 10% of Potsdam students each year, including juniors, seniors, and graduate students. We work with many international students and multilingual residents as well as native English speakers.
The Writer's Block trains experienced college writers as "peer tutors." A few are graduate students, and our staff includes Education majors, writing majors, and sociology majors who have been successful in a wide range of classes. We adapt our assistance to fit your individual needs, like coaches or consultants. The tutors help you understand assignments, clarify your ideas and express yourself well. They also offer guidance on citation and editing to help you improve your writing.
We won't tell you how to write your paper, and we won't edit your paper for you. We want to help you improve your own skills.
