Minor in Latinx & Latin American Studies

The Latinx & Latin American Studies minor serves as an introduction to both the Latin American Studies and the Latinx Studies fields. The minor emphasizes the study of cultures and history generated in Latin America and of Hispanic/Latinx heritage in the USA, without necessarily requiring students to focus on the study of the Spanish language.
With courses ranging from "Colonialism in the Caribbean" to "Culturals of Latin America," this interdisciplinary minor allows students to pursue course work through the Department of Modern Languages as well as the Department of Anthropology and the Department of History.
