A Message to our accepted students

So much has changed since you were first accepted to attend The State University of New York at Potsdam. But one thing hasn’t: We think you have what it takes to succeed here, and we would love for you to join the SUNY Potsdam family.

To help take some pressure off you in these uncertain times, SUNY Potsdam has extended our deposit deadline to join the Class of 2020, from May 1 to June 1. If you’re ready to make your decision today, just click here to confirm your enrollment.

We know… It’s a spring semester unlike any other. Normally, we’d be welcoming hundreds of accepted students to campus for our Open Houses. Classes would be in full swing, and you would have a chance to see our laboratories, student union, dance studios, athletic complex, computer labs, theaters, galleries, learning commons and residence halls busy and bustling.

Instead, we are quietly wrapping up the semester with distance learning and setting up virtual events left and right, while New York State fights to slow down the spread of the coronavirus. We miss our visitors, and we know that many of you are stressed in these uncertain times.

So, we just wanted to say: We hope that you are doing well, and that your family and loved ones are safe and healthy.

Second, we want you to know: We will come back from this. Our campus community will continue to support each other and do amazing things—and we hope you will be part of that with us.

If you are hoping to find out more about our academic programs and campus life, we have set up lots of virtual options for you.

If you have questions about financial aid, we are happy to help! We have lots of answers to common questions here, and virtual “walk-in” support is available too.

With our 99 percent placement rate for graduates, we know that you can start your path at SUNY Potsdam, then go anywhere. Wherever your path leads, we are here to help.

Sincerely,

Ronald Brown
Interim Vice President of Enrollment
