Want to learn more about your industry of interest? Curious about the future job outlook and prospects of your desired career? In this workshop, you will learn about the tips for entry, educational requirements, workplace environments, average salaries, and an overview of job-related skills pertaining to your field of interest. You will be introduced to resources including Vault and O’Net, that capture essential takeaways to pursue for your career path in the long-term and during college. This workshop will equip you with resources to help you develop individualized plans to pursue your career. The second part of this workshop will delve into salary negotiations. Participants will learn how to identify, articulate, and communicate their professional value. The workshop will introduce strategies to develop persuasive and strategic responses to effectively negotiate salaries. Resources will be provided on how to conduct field-related research to determine targeted salaries and benefits. There will be a discussion on the problematic salary disparities due to the wage gap.
