Job/Internship Search Strategies

The session will be based in a computer lab. It will include a 40-minute lecture on an introduction to a variety of job search platforms and how to effectively navigate the application process. We will discuss topics such as job/internship search research, application tracking systems, record keeping and follow-up. For the remaining 20 minutes, participants will have the opportunity to make accounts and practice using the resources.
- Students who participate in the workshop will be able to demonstrate an understanding of job/internship search process, career and job market information, workplace requirements and trends.
- Students will be able to identify personal job skills and qualification.
- Students will be able to better prepare for prospective internship/job applications through an introduction to resources.
