Brianne lives her life as both a musician and a yoga instructor. Her passion lies in melding the two art forms through her teachings in yoga for musicians. Brianne is a trumpet player and teacher. She currently attends Arizona State University for her Doctorate of Musical Arts, and serves as Teaching Assistant to Regents' Professor David R. Hickman. Her dissertation project focuses specifically on the use of yoga for brass musicians. Brianne's alma maters include the University of Colorado - Boulder for her Master's in Music, and SUNY Potsdam for her Bachelor's. Throughout the years, Brianne has studied with teachers such as Dr. John Ellis, Terry Sawchuk, Justin Bartels, and Herb Smith. She has performed under the baton of Gunther Schuller, Karina Canellakis, Helmuth Rilling, and many others. Brianne has competed multiple times at the semi-finalist level in the National Trumpet Competition as both a soloist and an ensemble member. During her time at Colorado, Brianne was a member of the Graduate Brass Quintet. The quintet participated as featured artists in the M.O.R.E Program through the Aspen Music Festival and School. Other ensembles she has performed with include the Orchestra of Northern New York, Northern Symphonic Winds, the Longmont Symphony Orchestra, the Frackenpohl Honors Brass Quintet, and Brianne was a featured soloist with the Clarkson Symphony Orchestra.
