The opening ceremony for Black History Month

  • Keynote address by J.W. Wiley, a professor at SUNY Plattsburgh
  • Student vocal performances by Voices of Victory, Sekayi Williams, a dance performance by Zagadat and spoken word by Renee Smith and Hillary Beaudouin
  • A reception will follow

February 10
Color in Motion Auditions

Sisson Lounge
4 p.m.

  • Color in Motion will be on May 6th, time & location TBA
  • Color in Motion is a talent showcase; students of color perform either a monologue, spoken word piece, song or dance.

February 12
Black Panther Comic Book History

3 p.m.
Fireside Lounge

  • Juwan Murphy-Rodriguez will give a Black Panther Comic Book History
  • Media Representation: Black Panther, a Marvel film that represents Black Excellence.
  • Free Black Panther movie tickets will be given to the first 60 students!

February 23
Hip Hop Show

Dunn Hall
6 p.m.

  • The CFD Hip Hop Show will feature student rappers, poets, dancers, DJ's and singers, focusing on the Hip Hop culture.
