SUNY Potsdam is committed to fostering a university-wide culture of sustainability by promoting environmental stewardship and social responsibility to inspire ecological solutions that forge a healthier campus, community and world.

  • Celebrate Earth Day by Planting a Vertical Garden on Campus! (View Poster)

    Fireside Lounge, Barrington Student Union at 1 p.m.
    Topic: “Vertical Gardens, the New Graffiti”

    - Volunteer to help construct a vertical garden, complete with living plants.

  • A showing of the award winning documentary, "Chasing Ice," will take place in Kellas Hall 105 on Monday April 21st in honor of Earth Day. The event will be held from 6-8 p.m. Shortly after the movie there will be a discussion panel about the movie with Dr. Jon Rosales (SLU), Dr. Stephen Bird (Clarkson), Dr.Ewy (SUNY Potsdam), and Dr.Badger (SUNY Potsdam).  Refreshments will be served! Please come and join our discussion!
  • The Earth Day Color Race will take place on April 22nd at 4:30 p.m.  View Event Details
  • Did you know it takes 450 years for plastic bottles to decompose?  Be sure to check out the Plastic Bottle Display in the academic quad in front of Satterlee & the library, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on April 22.
