School of Education & Professional Studies

We've been educating educators for nearly 200 years. Teacher education at Potsdam traces its history back to the College's foundation as St. Lawrence Academy established in 1816, making SUNY Potsdam's teacher education programs the oldest in the SUNY system.

Our programs in business administration, community health, wilderness education, and information and communication technology prepare students for emerging professions in the global economy.
