When did you enter SUNY Potsdam?

There are currently two General Education programs or "tracks" used. The program (or track) you must complete depends on the semester you entered SUNY Potsdam.

Both programs  require that students complete all Modes of Inquiry, Writing and Speaking Intensive requirements, the Modern Language requirements and the Physical Education requirements.

The only difference between the two programs is:

  • Students who entered between Fall 2000 and Spring 2006 need to complete the First Year Experience Requirements

                                                                                   -Whereas-

  • Students who entered in the Fall 2006 semester or after need to complete the General Education Foundation (GEF) requirements.
