Personal Wireless Access Points

At this time we are not banning personal Wireless Access Points (Aka WAP or Wireless Router) however we are requiring any student who operates their own WAP to either turn them off and try RRWIFI or verify your WAP is properly configured to use either channel 1, 6, or 11 but nothing else. Operating on a channel other than 1, 6, or 11 creates interference more commonly known as "noise" for the Time Warner radios.  Switching to one of these channels should also yield you better performance.

Please refer to the documentation of your WAP/router for instructions on how to do so. Failure to comply in a timely nature will result in your cable modem being disabled until your WAP is configured to run on either channel 1, 6, or 11.
