Residence Halls

The residence halls at SUNY Potsdam are a “home-away-from-home” for nearly 2,500 students.
  The residence hall program strives to provide students with a safe and fun environment in which they can attain academic success and grow into their future selves. 



Campus living provides:

  • Convenient access to academic buildings, libraries, athletic facilities, support staff and services.
  • A wide variety of building types and special interest housing programs like our First Year Experience (FYE) program, Arts House, Honors House, International Student House, Substance-free and Study Intensive.
  • Technology in all rooms includes Time Warner cable TV and Time Warner Roadrunner Internet access, both wired and wireless.
  • Live-in Residence Life professional staff (RDs) and student staff (RAs & Mentors).
  • Programs and activities designed especially for you, including leadership development.

  • A living environment where the cleanliness of the halls and safety are a priority. The Residence Halls feature an electronic key-less entry system for building access and a thorough fire safety awareness program.
